‘We have sent both of our boys to The Old Rectory Nursery and are very glad to have done so. For the older one who’s less active and more academic, they nurtured his intellect thoughtfully and effectively, working with us to help him make great progress whilst at the same time encouraging him to try new activities and building his confidence in areas he’s less inclined towards. The lovely young man he’s becoming is in no small part down to the efforts of the staff at the nursery.

Our younger son has presented a different challenge, being initially deaf and struggling with moderate learning difficulties. We knew that despite this he would be in good hands. The nursery has supported us hugely through these challenges, helping us to navigate through the complex systems of extracting support from special needs services, and while we’ve been breaking this unfamiliar ground together we have felt keenly that Miss Libby and her team are the only professionals actually trying to help. They have often said that they will do whatever it takes to help him and have been true to those words.

We could not want for a more supportive, safe, nurturing and genuine environment for both our boys’

“My eldest daughter started at the Nursery 5 years ago not long after it opened and my second daughter joined her 2 years later, what a wonderful place in which to play and grow, from wonderful country walks to collecting eggs from the chickens, painting, drawing and learning I couldn’t imagine a better place for them to go to Nursery, both of my girls have excelled in confidence and made many new friends.
The Nursery staff are kind compassionate and friendly, our girls will always remember the wonderful childhood time spent at the Nursery and we cannot thank you enough. We look forward to our little boy joining you later in the year and I will always recommend The Old Rect Nursery to anyone enquiring after a Nursery.”

‘When I first met Miss Libby and Pepe mum they were both so welcoming and friendly, they explained the nursery routine and Montessori method to me so well and were so helpful with any questions I had! It was a great start for me. When I started working at the nursery it was such a warm and welcoming environment and the staff members made me feel so welcome straight away, which was amazing as I was a little bit nervous to start a new job. Everyone made me feel at ease and helped guide me through the nursery, it’s like I had been there longer.
It’s clear how much the staff care for the children and the bonds and relationships created are amazing.
The children are so independent and love being able to chose their own activities and being able to put them away when they’re finished, this independence was so clear to me when I first started as you could tell it made the children feel even more confident!
I love being to go on country walks with the children which they absolutely love. The amount of outdoor space they have is amazing and the children love being able to run around and collect the eggs from the chickens.

I’m really enjoying learning more about the Montessori method everyday from Miss Libby, the team and even the children! The busy work they do is amazing to watch as it shows how much thought they children put into doing things and how each child has their own techniques of doing things. It’s also great to see the children being challenged with age appropriate activities.

It’s clear to me how much the children love having this independence and enjoy being challenged whilst doing their busy work, they also are able to guide the younger children when they’re being introduced to busy work and it’s great to see their kindness to one another and how confident they are helping each other and showing one another where things go.
I’m really looking forward to continue my journey at The Old Rectory Nursery with their amazing team and wonderful children! ‘

“My son started at The Old Rectory at 10 months and finished up when he started at the nursery for the school he would be attending. When looking for a nursery I genuinely thought I wasn’t ever going to find somewhere Jenson would be happy, and then we found Miss Libby ❤️. It’s a home away from home, the children are loved and treated like their own and made the daunting task of returning to work after maternity leave so much easier. The Montessori approach the nursery have is just the best setting, on top of the location and surroundings, it was honestly perfect. Jenson left 3 months ago and still regularly asks if he can go back to see his ‘Miss Libby’. I can’t thank them enough for all they did for Jenson and the input they had into creating a perfect little boy. All involved at the nursery are amazing and the role the family play, in general, is so unique. Thank you, Miss Libby and all the nursery teachers, and also Pepe Mum and Mr John. Jenson and I are forever grateful”

‘I am delighted that we found the fabulous ‘The Old Rectory Nursery’ for our son.
It really is special with its idyllic setting and large beautiful grounds in which the children can explore, adventure in, feed chickens, plant vegetables, pick strawberries in and much more;
Our son particularly loves the muddy walks and bug hunting. The nursery itself is cosy and inviting, it has a lovely, homely feel whilst being equipped with all the toys and tools needed to create an exciting place to learn and play. Miss Libby has a great ability to inspire the children to want to learn new things and our son is intrigued and eager to try many fun and education Montessori activitiesOur sons sense of independence has developed along with his social skills. He seems very happy at the Old Rectory and is always very chatty when he comes home. He is obviously being well looked after!’
